QUESTION: Why does my Affiliate Link look different?
Our Affiliate program linking was designed for SEO Linking and to make your link "Stealth".
Normally on other sites a referral link will look something like this: www.yourdomain.com//idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=100
or like:
www.yourdomain.com/Referral.php?ID=100
Ours looks like this http://CreationsByRichie.com/pages/1.htm
This means: Full SEF-URLs support! "Masking" your affiliate links to look "Natural".
We call your affiliate link "Stealth" because most people who look at the link (.../pages/1.htm) will not think it is a referral/affiliated link and hence they will not truncate the link. They will think that entire url is needed.
When your referral link looks like this: www.yourdomain.com//idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=100 More folks than you can imagine will remove your referral link and just arrive at the site using this code: www.yourdomain.com/
So in short, we provide a link that is Search Engine Friendly / Optimized and a link where your referrals will not remove the link code - which means more real sales commissions for you. :-)
